A ground floor reconfiguration and extension to a Victorian terrace house in Peckham, South London.

The brief was to design an open living space, harmonious with the lower garden.  Excavating the original rear dining room and extending to the side provides a large kitchen living space at garden level.  Circulation around a new WC divides the front and rear living areas.  The honest use of well-crafted concrete and bespoke joinery reflects the modesty of the overall design.  Simple full height oak linings and frameless glazing enhances views of the garden and maximises natural light.  Externally, the glazed and black aluminium clad exterior reflects the garden and contrasts with the existing materials.
